Steve Donelan has revised and updated his Wilderness Aid textbook, which is now published by the National Association for Search and Rescue, and is available from the NASAR Bookstore as well as Amazon. An earlier edition was published by ASHI, where Steve was the developer and chairman of their WEC program for 15 years before moving to NASAR. The book’s 8 ½” by 11” format gives ample space for many photos of wilderness hazards, rescues, and injuries in full color, as well as many drawings that clearly show how to do emergency care procedures. it is used for Steve’s Wilderness First Aid and Basic Wilderness First Aid courses.
